I haven’t been able to send or receive calls or text messages for about a half an hour now. I live in Minneapolis, MN.

It’s showing I have all 5 bars of service. Is this happening for anyone else?

Why post here? Wouldn't you call AT&T how will we fix the network? lol
But check if you put it in some mode that turns off service (I never do this so I wouldn't know but I believe Airplane Mode does)

well I can’t call if the service is down...

I didn’t touch any settings. So I figured I would ask to see if anyone else was having this problem.

I’ve also tried a hard reset and turning airplane mode on and off to try to reset things and still no luck.

You don't have a landline? lol Try emailing them then (Doubt they will answer within time) Use someone elses phone to call them.

Your service probably went down from load or something, just wait a few hours it will probably come back.

Although it is strange you are showing 5 bars...

I haven't had a landline in almost 10 years, is there a problem with that?

Um yea you can't trust mobile phones that much. Service goes in and out, it is a lot more stable with land lines. Plus in an emergency mobiles go out due to load while landlines usually still work.

+1

My mom doesn't want a landline, she got rid of it after she moved last year, but living in SoCal, and the chance of an earthquake, she would then have no means of communication.

well, i havent had a landline since 2003, and i only did then because it was included with my rent. you'll be surprised how many people dont have landlines, especially us "younger" folks.;)

Try reseting your phone, if that doesn't work try taking the sim card out than put it back in, if that doesn't work, call at&t
