Set alert to none in iCal, on iOS it sets to "At time of event"

So in iCal and on my iPod both, the default alert time for a normal event is 15 minutes before, and that works fine. But every time I set an event through iCal to have no alert, on my iPod it sets to show an alert at the time of the event. Is anyone else having this?? If so, is it fixed in iOS 6?? I'm holding off on upgrading til Google Maps comes out, but this bug is REALLY annoying.
