    How/where do I set up a VPN?
I need to use a VPN to access part of my Uni website, I have all the details from the Uni but I don't know where it is in OS X (10.9.2).

System Preferences, Network, create a new VPN interface by hitting the "+" sign in the lower left, for Interface choose "VPN". Choose the VPN type, optionally give it a name and hit the Create button. Select that new interface and configure as required.

Just make sure your university doesn't use any kind of useless client software such as Junos.

    I have now done that.
How do I get my MBP to use the VPN rather than my normal connection?
It is only to access my Uni results portal.
