Only the AppleID user that the HomePod is linked to can set an alarm in the Home app? My wife doesn’t have the option but I do.

Does anyone have other members in their Home able to set a HomePod alarm via the Home app?

Same issue here. I have 4 family members and only my account can do it. The setting is not even available for the rest of the family members.
The only work around that I found is when you give other home members full control - add & edit accessories- they will be able to see an option to add alarms thru the home app. Some much for the security.

Ah ok thank you very much for that workaround. Didn’t even think of that. Doesn’t make much sense since my wife had voice recognition and personal requests on and can create verbal alarms but oh well. Don’t want my wife tinkering with HomeKit stuff lol but she stays away anyway.

It shows up now on my wife’s end in the Home app. Thanks again!

I am glad I was able to help. I am still upset that Apple does not have a better solution for this cause I don't think I want to give my 10 years old add/edit abilities to our home just to manage alarms. It is also about time for Apple to do iCloud based alarms. I am perplexed that it is almost 2021 and alarms are not synced among devices.

You ain’t kidding. I couldn’t believe something as simple as creating an alarm in the Home app falls under granting full access to edit devices.
