how do i set all folders to show their contents and details, like in windows , details view? i can do it for one folder, but it doesnt apply to all folders

Click on Finder, then on Actions- click on "view options"
When the window pops up at the very top you can set it to either this folder only or all folders.
Thats all there is to it.

I have a similar situation on my G3 Panther machine connected to a G5 X-serve (tiger) every morning I connect to the server I have to reset every individual folder, no matter how many times I go to the server and re-set the "View" settings on it before mounting it to the G3. The "All Folders" function doesn't do bunk.
