Hello,

my situation is:

I have PDF document. Default app for opening it is Preview. I want to open it with PDF expert by default. So I right-click on file, then Get Info, then Open with, I choose PDF Expert and then I click on Change all and it's done. All PDFs are opened with PDF Expert by default.

But I have really many, many file types and doing it filetype-by-filetype is annoying, especially after reinstallation of macOS (I do fresh installation with every main versions like Yosemite, El Capitan and now Sierra). Situation is even worse with archives (zip, rar, 7z...), I have to change it manually for all archive types to open in UnArchiver Pro by default, so I'm finding app that can help me. Something where I can set to open all picture media (jpg, png, tiff...) in my image viewer (not Preview), all videos (mov, mp4, mkv, avi...) in Movist etc. with few clicks.

Thanks

I second RCDefaultApp (preference pane) as recommended by JohnDS above.

Excellent software that works as you would expect it to...
