Hi, I have a Macbook with Snow Leopard and I plugged an auxiliary display on mini-dvi port. The display of the Macbook is my primary display and the other is the secondary. Is there any way to set the auxiliary display to be primary and the Macbook display to secondary?

Thank you.

Once you connect your external display to your MacBook, go into Display in System preferences. From there, there should be a few tabs. Click on the Arrangement tab and in there there should be two blue boxes and one of them should have a white bar (which indicates the primary monitor). Move that white bar to the other box and it will be the primary monitor which should be the external monitor.

If you go to system preferences and click displays. On the macbook picture you will see a little bar at the top of the window. Drag this bar to the External monitor picture.

Sorted!
