I just registered some domains at godaddy and am wondering what the best option for setting up the free hosting is on a mac.

    the options are

    free windows hosting

    or

    free linux hosting

I will be working on this on my mac so is it best to do the linux option and work on it with the firefox browser?

    thanks!

either. they're just two types server OSes. your files will sit on them and be pulled when someone visits your site. your computer, nor any type of browser, won't be effected.

    imo, i'd go with linux.

Unless you need ASP scripting, go with Linux. Chilisoft if they are still around does ASP on linux, but I hear its not as full featured as Microsoft's.

    +1 for going with Linux.
