Hello everyone. I just bought a macMini Server a few days ago and I'm trying to set it up right now. My idea is to run the built-in DNS and set up the domain http://www.myoutstander.net, which should point to the same server.

For that, I enabled the DNS service, tipped in the forwarder dns and added a fully quantified primary zone with the name myoutstander.net. and the the DNS myoutstander.net. (NS-Host: 192.168.2.90) as a nameserver.

As you see on the image, I also added a C-Record with the value www which points to my server-ip.

After all I saved the settings and the domain http://www.myoutstander.net works fine.

First, it would be great if someone could tell me, if the settings are correct.

Second, I'm not sure about what I've to do if I want to add a Website to the server, which should be reachable under myweb.myoutstander.net.

I tried to add a new entry under web with the following settings:
web1-osxserver.png

web2-osxserver.png

Unfortunately it is not really working. If I disable the 2nd entry on the first image, the main domain http://www.myoustander.net is pointing to the project subdirectory but thats not what I want.

I'm intending that the main domain http://www.myoutstander.net is pointing to a local portal website and the subdomain, for example project1.myoutstander.net, is pointing to its subdirectory.

It would be great if some could help me..

Thank you very much
