I currently have a PowerMac G4 450mhz running Tiger. I don't use it all that much since it is slower then most Mac's I've used. My new (well new to me) Mac I purchased I should be receiving within a week is a PowerMac G4 MDD Dual 1.25GHZ, 1GB Ram, running Tiger.

What applications would you recommend for my needs?:

    1.) Listing Ebay Auctions.
I've heard about Garage Sale & iSale so far, any other apps for listing auction items?

    2.) Photo Editing
I already have iLife '08, and while I like Photoshop, there tends to be a learning curve involved in my experience. I want something that catalogs images as well as editing them.

    3.) Web Design
I want a program that shows me WYSIWYG and code either at once or in seperate windows. Cheaper the better, I don't need the Dreamweaver type advanced features. I'd like the html to be as clean as possible to reduce site size.

Those seem to be the big three things I will need. I'm primarily a PC user (Dell XPS 400 Pentium D 3.0GHZ, 2GB Ram, Windows XP Pro) but plan to transition my needs almost entirely to the Mac platform within the next few years. Thanks!

    2) Adobe Lightroom or Aperture are the main contenders here.

For photo editing, I'd stick with iPhoto or maybe look at Aperture.

For web design, take look at Coda or RapidWeaver

I think on a G4 Lightroom is the only one of those two that would run well enough.
