Hi, I have a Lacie external hard drive, does anyone know how can I set up a password for it, so others cannot access.

It's not as easy as encrypting an entire disk. I suspect what you want is a disk image ON the disk that is encrypted and password protected... It's an extra step when you need to access your data, but it's safe. Look into Disk Utility for creating encrypted images.
