Hello, I have my current PP account, but for the time being (next 6 months or so) I'm living in the UK. I tried to add my current UK bank account to PP but that's a no-no.

Basically what I want is to transfer money form my current UK account to my US account. And here comes the question, can I set up a second paypal account with a different email address (same name though) that is linked to my UK bank account, and then transfer money (like gift) to my other paypal account that is linked to my US bank account?

In theory I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but I want some advice and possible first hand experience on this. Thank you.

Do you mean like fully registering a brand new account? You should be able to as the card number/email address would be different.

But can I ask...why don't you just make the transfer between your banks, through your banks? Remember, Paypal will charge you their usual fees. It may work out cheaper through your bank, and if money goes missing, the bank will trace it.

My bank in the US has no agreement with any bank here so the fees are huge, not really, but huge when compared to what paypal charges.
