Setting up an eGPU on a Mavericks Mac Mini

Hi.

I want to set up an eGPU on a 2012 Mavericks 10,9,5 Mac Mini, and I want to know what the best solution is when it comes to compatibility etc.

I think something like an Akito thunder2 PCI-e box.

But what GPU would be have the best support for Mavericks and the Mac Mini, and what kind of power solution would go best and most flush with the Thunderbox?

I just want good graphics performance. Gaming and video. Idealy a low power midrange card would be good.
