Setting up an SSL for the first time. Need some assistance.

Hi,

I'm intergrating a photographic gallery for my business. There is a shopping cart that allows people to purchase my photos for prints or digital downloads. I wish to use PAYPAL PRO for the transactions, however it requires an SSL Certificate on my server.

I'm with Hostgator, I'm happy with them but I would like to know what is the best way to approach installing SSL on my website?

This depends a lot on your ability and what your package provides.

The easiest way is to buy a SSL Certificate from your host and have them install it.

2nd to this is buying a Certificate then manually installing it by SSH to your web server.

The final method i would consider the hardest it involves installing your certificate via Cpanel or Plesk.
