I am setting up an External backup Hard drive to primarily back up my iMac and also store extra photos, videos, songs, etc. However, I would also like to partition of a certain amount of the 320GB drive to due an emergency backup of a separate Windows PC. Is this even possible? If so, does anyone know how I should go about partitioning it. I would also be curious if anyone knows how to create an emergency bootable backup for my iMac as well? Thanks for any insight.

If you format everything as FAT32 then both Windows and Mac will be able to read & write with the drive. Carbon Copy Cloner can clone your drive for you as backup if you like. If you want it to be bootable then I think you'll need to use Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatting for that particular partition. :)
