I'm using a MBP and I'd like to set up a broadcast monitor for color correction. Would my computer properly recognize and differentiate my external display I'm using, and the broadcast monitor I'd like to hook up if they're running off the same dvi output with a splitter? - Thanks.

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong catagory, but it has to do with Final Cut, so I figured this would be a good place to put it.

I have a broadcast standard monitor plugged into my G5 via the DV deck that I use currently. The deck is firewired into the G5, and then plugged into the monitor via composite cables.

The resulting picture is perfect for colour corrections and graphics design using FCP and After Effects.

I suppose I could run the monitor through my camcorder, seeing as how I don't have a DV deck, but I would prefer a more permanent solution.
