i wear a hat like 75% of the time. What do you think is best. Set it up with or without a hat on?

It’s called FaceID not hat ID. To be honest I don’t think it will matter as long as you are not wearing a balaclava.

I could be wrong.

**** it’s not HatID... lol I didn’t think it would matter either but just wondering which would give me more problems in the long run. I can just imagine adjusting my hat a lot.

That’s what I was thinking...

Did you not read/watch the Apple event? You can wear glasses, scarves, hats, bandannas, whatever you desire. Even sunglasses. Set it up and go about your life. Unless you're wearing a ski mask, you're fine.

I think we all did. And I guarantee it won’t be all fine everytine. Pretty sure I will have to adjust, take off etc some times. Just wondering how often it will be hiccup

It's not HeadID man, come on.

The bigger question would be that unless your a baseball player, why else would any human being be wearing a hat for
%75 of their day....

Has Touch ID worked everytine for you? Just so many conditions we don’t know about. In the dark, in the sun, looking too far down. I mean

All but that time when my thumb or finger was wet or greasy.

ya i mean 95% of the time it has worked. But still there are so many conditions for face that are unknown. like the angle it has to be when phone is on desk and i am wearing a hat. Do i have to adjust my angle even more than i would normally....

In one of the videos released yesterday someone who wore a baseball hat and glasses set it up wearing both.
Therefore, set it up with your hat on is my recommendation. Hope it all works out.

Do you set up touch id with dirty fingers? Probably no....
Set it up the way it was meant to be set up. No people in the background and avoid glasses or anything crazy. Let the sensor get a good mapping of your face then go from there.
