Setting up iCloud

I keep going to system preferences on my MAC to set up iCloud. When I click on the iCloud a dialouge box opens that states I have to move from Mobile Me to iCloud. I click on the link for that and it launches a Mobile Me login and when I log in there a new web page opens asking me to log into iCloud. I do that and iCloud launches a find my device window and locates both my iPad and iPhone.

If I go back to system preferences and click on the iCloud icon in order to set up my preferences, I begin the whole scenerio again. I really can not figure this out an need some help.
