iPhone 8/Plus Setting up new 8+ question about music

i just went from a SE to an 8+. Backed up the SE to iTunes on my MacBook Pro and everything appeared on the 8+ except that my music is listed on the 8+ but is now in iCloud instead of physically on the phone. Why is this and how do I get it back on the phone?

Stored tracks cannot be included in a backup.
Select the download from cloud icon

Music stored in stock music app will not be backed up no matter what. You either need to sync your music to your phone or download it from apple music.

Thanks for the reply. It’s working ok now. I didn’t do anything. Hadn’t looked at music for about a week. Its synced.

Yeah, when you restore a backup, sometimes it can take a while to finish everything..need to stay on WiFi consistently for some time..glad it’s all sorted..
