Howdy,

I am setting up a new Mac Pro. I have 2 G5 PM's. I want to use the set-up utilities feature which allows you to copy the configuration from one Mac to another. I have never used this before. Since the original is PPC and the new one is Intel, I have some reservations doing this. The apps I have installed are:

FCP Studio (not UB)
Shake 4.0 (UB)
Adobe creative Suite 2
Macromedia Suite
Office:Mac
iWork (latest)
Quicktime Pro
BBEdit

Those are the main ones. Are there issues with doing this? Also, do the activation/licenses transfer? What about printer drivers?

Thanks - SMM

I would just spend the time and do a fresh install of everything on the new machine, get it exactly how you like it, then make an image of it. I don't like transferring from machine to machine because sometimes, it brings too much crap I don't want over to the new one. For instance, you're going to run into issues with the FCP stuff and Shake.
