If you're setting up a Mac for someone new to OS X and seems to screw up every Windows computer they get their hands on, how would you configure it for them? I'm tired of fixing my brother's Windows problems and thinking about giving him an old Mac Mini I have. His main uses are MS Word, light photo editing, e-mail, and web browsing.

My thought was to set him up as a non-admin user so he can't screw around where he shouldn't. Any other things I should consider?

You'll probably get more calls from your brother if he doesn't have admin priviledges on the Mac.

There isn't as much malware, adware and bloatware for Macs in the wild so you probably won't have to deal with it as often...but it is out there.
