Setting up proxy server

    Hi .. I am trying to figure out a way to "hide" my IP address from the outside world when I am browsing. I was told to look into proxy servers ... its a bit of a rocket science for me. any recommendations on software to use? or web content possibly that dumbs it down?

    You would need a proxy server service (if such a thing exists) or much more likely, a VPN service to hide your IP address. If you set up a proxy server at home, it will still show your IP address.

    If it's just for browsing, use the Tor browser.
