Hello all first post ere and Im hopinh you guys can help me out because I am truly at the end of my tether :(

I have a few problems so I'll try and be coherent as possible

I am trying to set up a wireless connection for my girlfriends Mac

    She has 10.3.9 software

There is no airport card (or airport symbol in the toolbar, hence the dongle)

I currently have a d-link mac compatabe dongle I bought over ebay a while ago

I have a thompson speedtouch Modem aswell

The mac is using Pipex broadband
(you will have to understand I am virtually mac illiterate)

When I plug the modem into the phone line, and plug the dongle into the mac, I can see a few wireless connections, our own being one of them - I click to connect, and enter the password, the reader says 90% connection to 100% connection, but when I open firefox or safari etc, no connection

Im thinking may have to create a new wireless connection BUT the pipex installation disc (along with others) does not auto-run, and when I click its icon on the desktop, it merely opens up a folder showing whats inside..

Please, I would be ETERNALLY greatful for any help - and as simply as possible please lol im not great with macs (obviously)
