Hello.

I have an iPad as well as a Mac. Setting up Yahoo Mail on my iPad was just a case of me entering my account details and the iPad did the rest. It imported my inbox, junk mail and all my folders such as email folders I have set up for my university studies.

When I tried to then get the same thing using the Mail app on my Macbook Pro, so far, all I have managed to do is import my inbox. All the folders I have made are not there (like they are on my iPad). I tried creating a smart mailbox and then went in to my Yahoo account directly, set all university emails as unread and then told the Mac Mail app to get all new mail but nothing happened.

How can I fix this?

Thanks.

Get Sparrow from the App Store. Dead easy to set up. Failing that, access Yahoo Mail from the Yahoo website.

What I want to know is why does it work seamlessly on the iPad but not my Mac? What is the iPad doing differently?
