I'm with you on that. There've been lots of changes to macOS UI recently. Many of them are expanded and more helpful messages. But there are also quite a few very strange ones such as this example. What ever happened to intuitive user interface? Is there anyone quality checking adherence to UI standards?I have to admit that after 35 years of Mac use, if I had seen that, I wouldn't have understood what it meant, either.
Instead of showing us a cryptic icon, why not just the alert, "turn on your Apple keyboard, or connect a USB keyboard" ???
Would the computer already know which language to use for such a message at that stage of the boot process?Instead of showing us a cryptic icon, why not just the alert, "turn on your Apple keyboard, or connect a USB keyboard" ???
They're going for the classic Mac floppy disk ? icon. Or they're too lazy to add translations for "connect your keyboard, dummy."I have to admit that after 35 years of Mac use, if I had seen that, I wouldn't have understood what it meant, either.
