In the new year I plan on getting a 27" i7. I currently have a mac mini 1.66 core duo (this is set up as my media centre PC to TV in the living room). I have this hooked up to a 1tb external hard drive and all my music & photos sit on it.

I also have a macbook 13.3" 2.4gh CD2. This is my machine for general use, I keep some photos and music on it but not much.

The Imac is going to be used as the family computer.

Can I put all the music, photos ect.. on to the imac and have the mini share Itunes & iphoto ect..

Does this cause any problems with DRM from itunes ect ??

Thanks in advance

Can anybody help with this ? I have searched the net and can not find the answer.

Basically I want the IMAC to be the main PC. The mini and macbook to use the imacs itunes & iphoto library.

Thanks

Yes it's done though iTunes. It's easy to set up won't take 5 minutes.

Great, I just been playing with my macbook and mac mini and have got it working through sharing. The name kind of gives it away really !!!!!!!!

This is great for sharing my tunes and photos.

If I wanted to add media i'm guessing the only way to do this is via the main mac that is doing the sharing.

the only thing I don't like about apples sharing method is that the mini will have to never sleep otherwise you lose the connection
