For me:

Settings:
Fastest Trackpad
Dark Menu Bars
Resolution Highest
Dock to the Left with Smaller icons
Downloads Folder to List
In Finder, Show Everything in Sidebar

Apps:
Dropbox
1Password
Flux
Cinch
Hazel
Bittorrent Sync

Of course I install a bunch of other apps, but these get me up and sprinting.

NZBVortex
Beamer app

are 2 of my most used apps (besides the standard apps of course), hopefully the new rMB will handle these with hiccups

off topic : what is a good "beamer app" for the rMB and what output connection have most beamers at the moment (VGA or HDMI because this determine which dongle I have to buy for the rMB).

I am using, the in The Netherlands made, app named Beamer. I can through almost any codec in there and it will stream to my Apple TV without any hiccups. Plays 1080P movies/series very very well (incl subs).
Using it now for 2 years. One of my favo Mac apps.

Supports 5.1 surround.

You can also still use your Mac for other things while watching the streamed movie. This is not possible with Apple's Airplay :)

Thanks for sharing these. I had never heard of Flux, Cinch or Hazel... and have downloaded the first two.

I'm not sure Flux is for me, but I will give it a shot.

Thanks for sharing!

Give it time - I can't imagine not using it anymore!

Also it might even improve your sleep - there is some research that suggests that more blue light from computer screens can adversely affect your sleep, so warmer light will be better in that regard.

Settings :
- Fastest trackpad (still not fast enough !)
- Light force touch
- No natural scroll
- Small dock
- More Space
- All my config files from the iMac (bash files, terminal and vim settings, hosts...)
- A bunch of things that I forgot

Utilities :
- Moom

Apps :
- Dropbox, first and foremost
- Evernote
- 1password
- Thunderbird
- Office 2015 (Excel and Word only)
- Sublime Text 3
- YNAB4

I would normally also download Firefox ASAP but I decided to give Safari a chance for a few days.

I'll set up my dev environment this WE.

Flux is great, but their default color settings are a bit extreme IMO. I'd recommend adjusting the color settings before using.

All this talk about Moom, Cinch and BetterSnapTool. Which one rules? I got cinch years ago, but am tempted to try Moom.

I'm glad there are so many people who like the fast track pad :)

I also turn the scrolling speed at the fastest. system pref---accessibility--trackpad--trackpad options---scroll speed.

I use to always use cinch, but I am so addicted to using spaces that I rarely need apps side by side.

Great thread here.

Apps:

Final Draft 9
Highland
Assembler
Bronson Watermarker PDF
MakeMKV
Boom 2
Alfred
Spectacle
Byword
Day One
Mailbox
VLC

Settings:

Hide the dock. Courier Prime font for writing.

That's my main stuff anyway.

Could everyone put a little info next to the apps?

example:

cinch (windows snap feature, side by side apps)
