Hey all,

I received my new MBP on Thursday and spent the last several days setting it up and getting my desk setup and everything transfered over (I went from a PC desktop, a G5, and a PBG4 down to one MBP). I've got it running in a nice "desktop mode" right now. Attached is a pic - what do you think? 🙂

So far no problems. The bottom of the screen may be ever so slightly dimmer than the rest, but its hard to notice unless you really look for it and calibrating eliminated most of the issue. And everything else is perfect 🙂

your setup is a bit messy but congrats! lol

Yeah tomorrow I pick up some cable ties to try and clean up the on-desk wires a bit. Oh for Apple to give us a dock... as for the cables at ground level.. such is the disadvantage of a backless desk.

Yah, its a DELL 2005FPW actually - probably a slightly older version of the one you mention. Now if I could just get it to work 100% right in Windows...

Well all the 2005FPWs have the excellent S-IPS panel. I have the 2007FPW with S-IPS. If I got that PVA POS, I would have returned the monitor.
