Does anyone else have issues with the Mac unlock feature? It only works for me some of the time and I cannot pinpoint why or what the difference is in the situations.

While on the newer MBPs we have no problems with the feature, on our late 2013 MBP it helps to turn BT off and on again.

Not sure what the actual problem is as. Probably a cute IT Crowd reference by Apple’s engineering team ;)
[doublepost=1555486611][/doublepost]Oh, here‘s an Apple Watch issue that hits me on a regular basis:

When my phone runs out of battery and boots up again when sitting on the charger somewhere in the house, I run into the situation where my watch would connect to the iPhone via BT while the iPhone won‘t connect to any Network before being unlocked.

This results in the watch not being connected to the network at all. And I can’t seem to disable BT on the watch while keeping Wifi or Cellular.

Similar problem: The watch would „see“ the iPhone via BT but it‘s not close enough to actually allow for a stable hands free phone call.

I would at least be able to force the watch into Wifi or cellular-only mode in these situations but haven‘t found a way so far.

Too bad scribble is limited to so few languages, this is probably the feature i miss the most.

[*]Locate a Missing iPhone - In the Control Center, if you press on the icon that looks like an iPhone, it will cause your iPhone to play a sound so you can find it if it's gone missing. If you long press on the button, it will also light up the flash, making it even easier to find a misplaced iPhone.

I can't for the life of me get this to work! Trying with a Series 2 with an iPhone 7.

I found a lot of these useful. The auto launch of the audio app, the alphabetic view of the apps, and the find iPhone flashlight feature I did not know existed.

Thanks! This had some good info in it to make my Apple Watch a little better for me....

Thanks MR, I really dislike the honeycomb mode. The list mode is much better.

Here’s how I arrange the apps on my Apple Watch. Takes a bit of time, but I found it worth it for me.

Basically, my 6 most commonly used apps in the middle. Communication apps on the right, exercise / fitness apps on the left, social apps on the top, and productivity apps on the bottom.

There’s no Apple TV remote app for the watch, what are you guys taking about?

Edit: Watched the video.

It's hit and miss with me. Usually hit these days. Many times, when it fails, I just hit the Esc(ape) key which puts it back to sleep and try again. Usually that works. But like all Apple devices, I do believe every once in a while you need to enter the password regardless.

Oooh thanks for that tip. It's been failing a lot for me lately and didn't think to make it retry.

My favorite, 'Flashlight' from Control Center has come in handy on more than one occasion when trying to unlock a door in a dark area.

2nd favorite is using the Camera remote while slipping the iPhone camera into a hard to reach area, allowing you to view things you couldn't otherwise see.

I honestly forgot about the camera remote thing. Do you know if this is a big battery drain? I'm wondering if I can use this as an impromtu baby monitor.

Tip: Open Control Center, scroll to the bottom and press Edit. Rearrange the controls to the order you want them. Press Done at the bottom when done.

Flashlight then swipe it to the red light is great for poking around in the dark without waking your partner..!:)
[doublepost=1555531989][/doublepost]I just wish they'd bring time travel back. I miss so much the ability to scroll through my meetings by "time travelling" with the digital crown.. It was such a great feature.. I'm still on the series 2 because they removed this as i just don't rely on the watch as much to spend so much to upgrade. Please Apple. If you read this, bring it back? :)

Agreed, very flaky. It won’t work on the first ‘unlock’ of the day, and seems a bit hit and miss after that.

Works on my S2 watch and iPhone X.

In ‘Theatre’ mode Red is the default flashlight colour.
