Is there some way to talk to someone at Apple about this issue without paying when your product is no longer under warranty?

new member - same problem

I left my 2 yea rold iPad2 on a plane (bub-bye). I know I already sound like a dumb@$$ but we were evaced fast for an electrical problem. Anyway no more iPad2.

Bought a new iPad4 at a brick & morter Apple store and connected it to my computer to sync. Ok, so far. Most of my apps were there but not all, and none of my books so I tried accessing the Apple Store; no luck. I knew all of the security questions and was told I had changed my password successfully but Apple Store still does not recognize me.

I have 49 updates waiting and want my books back. I was told on another forum that I had to use my old password. I am 64, I don't remember my dog's name!;)

Do you think calling the Apple help number will work for this case?

oops1 Wrong forum.....sorry.
