I have some questions for you about this product:
1-How do you like the Steinheil LCD protector?
It's ok, but I would just stick with Powersupport anti glare, or the Steinhill anti-glare films if you're worried about fingerprints. The LCD protector that comes with the shield is very clear, and looks great, but it is a fingerprint magnet.
2-Is the Steinheil LCD protector very clear?
See above
3-Does the Seinheil LCD protector get fingerprinted or smudged easily?
Yes.
4-Why did you skip installing the bezel covers?
I did not skip it. I put them on, and they go on pretty easily. They are just 4 sticky strips of film, and the ones for the shorter sides are curved a bit at the end, so they go around the corners. No need to use liquid to install these, as they seem to have a more adhesive quality than the film itself.
5-Do the bezel covers look like they will do a good job and cover the entire bezel?
They do cover the entire bezel. In fact, they overlap a bit, which is fine - hardly notceable.
6-Does it come with a piece to cover the home button?
It comes with several circular cutouts for the home button
7-They say it is thinner than competing products, how does the scratch resistance seem to be?
AMAZING. I've actually rubbed my keys against it, like in that Invisible Shield youtube video. Not a single scratch. It's really perfect, in that regard.
I would also note that the install is easy, provided you are patient with the corners. After you get it on straight, and then squeegee the Sh*&t out of it to get rid of all the airbubbles, just let it sit for about 10 minutes, to allow the corners to get dry, so they are more tacky. Then, just press down on each corner, one at a time. If there is a little piece of excess film that looks like it will cause "tenting" - just work it out into the little piece that goes around the corner. That piece should only be stuck down AFTER you finish the corner and it is completely flat.
Thank you
