I just found that Shadow of Mordor is out for OS X

This is a really great game. I have played it on my PS4 and managed to finish it last year

I will not buy it now, but I hope the Mac version is really great..

I'm really curious how it performs on various Mac models. I remember the PC version required 6gb video ram (yup, you read that right) in order to use the HD textures.

I just downloaded it on my 27" iMac 3.5 i5 with 24 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB. For some reason, the game goes to 5K resolution settings when I select the 2560 x 1440. I had to adjust it again during gameplay. When I did, the game ran absolutely smooth. I really hope Metal for OS X brings more exciting games to Mac OS like this one. I really want to never look back on Windows again.

bought it last night on a whim, got a 27" 2011 iMac, only 1gb 6970m, i take it theres no point downloading on os x and trying it? its a big download so i only want really to download it on either mac or bootcamp, but realistically its only going to work a bit on boot camp isn't it?
