Shake 4 crashing like a s.o.b.

Hi all,

I'm new to Shake and trying to find my way around. When i click on tutorials,or anything in the help tab for that matter, Shake crashes. When I try and render a fileout node, whatever application trying to perform the render "unexpectedly quits" before it ever launches. I'm on a quad-core w/ 3GHz processor speed and 6GB of memory! Any suggestions?

Are you using the latest version of Shake? I think it is 4.1.
