share external hard drive

Cannot get an external hard drive to share between mac studio and macbook pro. The drive shows in the finder sidebar, it shows in the network list, it shows in shared list. Error message 'the share does not exist' and 'the original item for (drive name) can't be found'. Everything is shared in the get info windows and within the share in system preferences. Running 15.5 on both devices.

Macbook pro connects to the mac studio but not the external hard drives.

Exactly what are you giving full disk access to? And where is this being "checked" as Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access uses toggles, not checkboxes.

And what application is having Full Disk Access toggled “on”?

The network drives opens on my mbp so that I can access it. It's the only way I found to get the drive to open.
