Exactly....I did buy a HDMI dongle but I use that port at most once per year to show pictures to family at Xmas. However, recently can just stream to Apple TV so don't really need it. My only addition after switching all my cables was a small little USBA-USBC so I can always have something to put on the end of a thumb drive someone gives me.I really do not get the dongle thing other than the SD card hub that is a requirement for pretty much anyone (the only really upsetting part of the port elimination).
USB-C/TB3 is a much more superior cable, and whatever you regularly use just replace the entire cable with a USB-C cable. It's relatively easy and not very expensive to just replace your USB 3 cable to USB 3 to C cables, etc.

Someone reviewed that hub on U tube and said while it color matches and sits flush against the laptop it tends to giggle loose because it's long and the connection is on one side the bottom part moves back and forth and can cause you to lose connection which could be disastrous. My "bag of dongles"
