Clearly having a CS degree from Stanford doesn't do you any good if you can't set up Internet sharing on a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard! What gives?

I have a valid Ethernet-based Internet connection. I've tried various combinations of AirPort on, off, sharing a new connection, etc. but it doesn't work. I did have VMWare/Parallels installed at one point - is it a permissions issue? I've installed all the latest updates.

Thanks in advance.

Same Problem

Hi - did you manage to solve this problem at all and do you have a 3G USB broadband modem by any chance? I'm having the same problem trying to set up internet sharing from Macbook Snow Leopard using Three 3G Huawei E122 modem stick (rural Ireland - only viable internet connection). Driving me bonkers.
