I see such cool stuff that it makes me want to go out and get a pen then u realize I can hardly write my name and realize it would be pointless.
Just have fun, and no one can draw as they want when first time they started using it. Also it depends on if you can find right devices/app/softwares to create your art.
In my case, I tried some drawing tablets and pens before iPad Pro and Apple Pencil came out. It seems still many people like to use Wacom tablets and pens, I tried them but didn't like them, I used them with Photoshop and illustrator and just couldn't focus on drawing because of their time lag. But when I saw video of iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, I thought it worth to get them and try, and I wasn't wrong. Also I tried some Apps, and figured out Procreate is the best to use for me.
Still when I started using them(both devices and app), I needed time to get use to. I still don't write well as much as I write with pen on paper since I barely use them to write actual letters, but now I can draw much easier. So, when you start, there's need to have some patience and practice time, even if you find right devices and apps/softwares "for you".
You will see progress when you continuously draw with them. I didn't draw like I can now when I started.
I'm thinking to re-draw same thing when I did after iPad/Apple Pencil came out and I started drawing cats eyes, then you can see how my skill was progressed just after less than 1 year drawing with them.
The key elements of successful digital drawing are finding right tools for you and knowing apps/softwares brushes and its effects you use.
