Here are a couple of iPhone 6 lock screen backgrounds I have created. I like to design my backgrounds around the on-screen system components.

Here is a set of backgrounds for the lock screen and home screen for iPhone 6. I call this one "Retro" and I tried to design it to look like a restaurant from the 1950's.
