I was just in Holiday at Taiwan when I had a little… itch to play with my camera. So, I filmed a street artist in the style of Street Photography. If anyone visits Taipei, Find this man. He's in Ximending. The way he works is definitely inspiring.

30 Seconds - Taipei : Spray Paint Artist

:D. Enjoy, and any Critiques would be great!

I am a very amateur video maker.... This is my first attempt at producing a video....

I am F&B manager at a Casino, our company has a contest going for us to make videos showing some of our company's core values in play.... First core value is "Integrity"...

We took a pretty straight forward idea, but try to take different stance... The video was shot with a iPhone 4 and edited in iMovie.... I'm just trying to learn iMovie, really my first time using it...

What you think??.

Showing Integrity...

This is the first video I ever took having just got my Sony DCR PC1 just prior to the trip. It stayed in the micro cassette until now, when I processed it in iMovie on my Macbook Pro last week. Please give me pointers that can make it better. :)

Thank you.

Personally i cant see the funny perspective of your video. But i guess some people are tuned in to that kind of humour.
Even the bit the Beatle material is stupid and complete rubbish. I worked with the Beatles and that was one of their goals to break into America.
Then again i guess it is a send up?????????

Pretty good for not having ever made a video before. I would remove/make the logo at the bottom of the intertitles less obvious. It's fairly distracting when you're trying to read other text on the screen.

I hesitate to put much here because the feedback in this forum tends to leave a bit to be desired. Anyway, I'll forgo that concern and play along. Here is a film we did about a year ago. It was selected for a couple festivals in the short categories and we kept it private until those festivals completed. It was originally a story we decided to do to learn a new camera and had no intention of doing much with it. The final product turned out better than expected so it went on the festival circuit.

Constructive comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The Jamz

Hey guys!

Shot this series on a 5d, edited entirely with FCPX. Love it. Multicam editing & audio syncing is a lifesaver.

"Ikaros daughter" My first short from northern sweden

Hi guys! My name is Mikael and this is my first short film.
It's only 2,5min long but I have put a lot of time and effort into it so I hope you like it!

I had to learn everything from scratch, did the editing in final cut pro 7, and I would appreciate feedback.

If you like it feel free to give it a vote (with the stars under the film)

Loop

Hi. Came across this thread where people were sharing their short films. I thought I'd share mine as well. Its called Loop and its a story about a girl who's recently had an accident causing her to lose her ability to make new memories. The girl ends up in what could possibly be one of her longest nights.

Here's the trailer for the movie:

And here's the movie itself:

Perhaps the film might seem a bit amateur. That's because it was scripted, shot and edited over a period of 7 days as part of an entry in a short film contest and was made by two people (I handled the scripting, shooting, editing while my friend helped with the actors and minor effects). We attended classes during the day and shot the movie in the night. Had to miss a day's class to get the editing done (For the record, am currently an MBA Student in India).

Oh, and I also created a Wikipedia page for the movie in case some of you might be interested to give it a glance. My apologies if my content was below the high standards of this group - had just made an attempt and was very excited to share it so ... here goes !!!

There ar 2 major faults with the video "LOOPS" Camera too shaky and dialogue at parts is to low. Music seems to be in control.
Camera set up and actors need refinement.:)

Hey Thankx loads for your valuable feedback. Not only is the camera shaky, but I believe you'll have noticed a lot of the red-eye effects. That's because this movie was shot in two nights using a Samsung Galaxy S II with flash turned on which turned out to be a mistake (I should have kept the flash off and then used lighting adjustments which would have done). The Galaxy is known for producing shaky videos even at the slightest movement (something which I found out later). This method of shooting also resulted in the dialogues getting low at places (and since the actors were busy, couldn't get to redub them or reshoot scenes which I wanted to reshoot with them).

Speaking of the actors, yeah they weren't really actors. They were just two friends I picked up and decided to go ahead with the shooting. On the evening of the shoot, I told them they would be shooting. None of them had any acting experience whatsoever. I guess I wanted to make this movie so badly that I didn't really care about the quality of the actors (thinking that my dialogues would try to make up for their inadequacies).

But seriously, thanks a lot for your feedback. Maybe if I make another film, I'll try to mask over these mistakes. As for a first attempt at film-making in less than a week, I just hope it was a mildly decent one (scripting wise at least) :) !!!
