I have a shared calendar with my SO (we use Family Sharing). For whatever reason, whenever she adds an event, I get two emails. I know you can choose between having a notification and an email. This setting is hidden in iCloud.com → Calendar → Settings → Advanced. In the screenshot below, you can see that I have "app notifications" selected (I know it's in Swedish, but I hope you can understand that "notiser" is notifications while "e-post" is email"). Even though I have "app notifications" selected, I still get email but no notification. And what's even worse, I always get 2 identical emails.

Anyone with a similar issue, or knows how I can fix this?

I have tried to create a new calendar and share it with her, and that calendar has the same issue. Two emails instead of 1 notification.
