I had a PC computer that was shared on my network...The PC is long gone but I cannot seem to find a way to get rid of the icon in my shared computer(s) panel....It is not listed anywhere else.....Thanks

I had the same issue, 10.5.2 + a reboot fixed it for me.

Drag it from the Finder Window Sidebar to the desktop. It should disappear.

Thanks for the help Merl1n...Wont drag for me either....I double click em and they still do try to connect, (to nothing)...I would think they (two of em) would show up in Networks or Shared...Oh well...Sooner or later... :D

Ok, it sounds like this is cached.

Download OnyX (a free maintenance utility) and use it to clear out all of your cache files, then when it is finished, reboot.
