As the title says, my shared home network computers no longer show up in the finder sidebar. I can still access them by manually typing in the IP addresses.

I've tried all the usual things such as rebooting my computer, rebooting my router, and relaunching Finder.

    Any suggestions?

Have you checked Finder > Preferences > Sidebar?

Yes, in fact if I manually connect to a shared folder via Go...Connect to Server it will show up in my sidebar. But nothing will show up unless I manually add it, and it will disappear once I disconnect.

    HI Aragornii,

Did you get a fix for this in the end?

I am having the same exact problem and it's really bugging me :(

I have exactly the same problem.
I can see the 4 mac on the same network.
Look what happens with the pc...
For some days of the month, I can see the network of my work (almost 20 pc).
So, one day that I was able to see the PC's, I did "alias" on their location.
So, at the moment, even if I can't see them on my "shared" bar on the left, I can see the alias.
So I double click the alias... and then magically, it connects with the pc.
With the same magical way, on my "Shared bad", I can see now this PC.
I use to do the same procedure with other alias, ans so I can see the other PCs too.

Here is what should be done

Go to Preferences > Sharing > File Sharing > Click Options > Make sure that "Share files and folders using SMB" is checked.:)

    Actually, I did something else.
    I upgrade to LION 10.7!

From that day, YES i can see the entire network.

    Other problems start to occur.

From the PC (Windows 7) it asks me for a password, to access my MAC.
And yes, sometimes it accepts the username & password.
    Other times, no!
