I recently bought a new imac for work.
The laser printer I have does not work well with leopard.
Is there a way I can connect my new mac to my g4, send the files to my g4 and print from there?
Do i need to have the applications on the g4 to be able to print, which would be a problem because the applications that I am creating my work on will not work on os 9.
Basically I just want to use the g4 as a print server.

Assuming they're both on the same network, this would be quite easy to do. When printing from your current machine, you could save all files as PDFs to ensure you wouldn't need any special app on the G4 apart from Adobe Reader (or some equivalent).

I was thinking of that.
The problem i might come across is that the applications are page layout files, that sometimes need to be color separated which doesn't always work with pdf's.

Okay, let's go back to the original problem. What printer is it and how is it not working? Be as specific as you can. 🙂
