SHARED vs. SHARES libraries

Anyone ever notice shared photo libraries in iPhoto are filed under SHARES (with an S, not a D)?

In iTunes, shared libraries are filed under SHARED (with a D). And in OS X's Finder, computers on the same network are filed under SHARED as well.

SHARES seems a bit unnatural to me. Only iPhoto uses it. Perhaps I have too much time on my hands.
