sharing an external HDD over network from SL to LION

hey guys,

ive got an imac, running SL, which acts as my media server. it shares to my apple tv2, my blu ray player(via DLNA) and shares my printer etc.

problem im having is, from my macbook (running lion) i cant see the external drive at all. i can see other shared folders etc, but not the HDD.

any suggestions?

Did you share the external drive? If not, go to System Preferences->sharing, click on the "+" below the shared folders list to add your new share. Once it is added you may have to adjust the privileges. If you get stuck, that dialog had a help button you may want to try out.
