I need to periodically share files with a remote user whose skills are really basic, what I'd usually do is create a folder into my iCloud storage, add the files and share the folder with the recipient through an invite (right click on the folder bla bla bla), is there any other way to achieve this?

Thanks

Share as in collaborate? Or share as in send them a copy you no longer need ongoing access to?

Size of files?
Just share, they are read only pdf files I'd put in a folder for the remote user to access, download and read on an iPad, no interaction needed

One option would be to set up a shared Notes folder. You could add the PDFs to a new Note and they can pull it up on their iPad. You can do one PDF per note or multiple; e.g. a separate Note for a day or a given subject or whatever.

You could simple email the PDFs as an attachment, they can pull it up straight out of Mail.

Lots of 3rd party drive sharing options, which might offer features of flexibility not available with iCloud. I’ve used DropBox like this in the past, but not lately. They should be able to pull up the shared drive right in Files app.

Some iPad apps offer sharing within the app - Notability, Goodnotes, etc.

Or you could use an app that is more collaboration-focused but also offers file sharing. Discord, Slack, etc. - particularly useful if they might need to as questions.

The recipient is not a very skilled computer operator, I gotta make it the easiest, I am not even sure they could be interested into that so I gotta make it the simplest for both, I think just dropping from time to time into a shared folder on iCloud could be the best option as any other would mean to have to download an app or perform operations which might sound complicated on the other end

Thank you
