Sharing files through network

Hi, I was wondering if it were possible to share files through networks on macs. When I get on iTunes either on my home network or school network, I can browse and play other people's files. Is there anyway I can d/l some of their stuff as well? Thanks for any input! 😀

If the other machines are set up for file sharing, then turning on Personal File Sharing and Windows Sharing in the Sharing pane of System Preferences is a good start. Of course this won't help if the songs you're after aren't available from the other machine to share. Remember to ask the owner of the music for permissions to use it, and don't violate any piracy laws. 🙂
