I have a simple question. ( I hope! ) My daughter and I have two G3 iMacs, both running OS-X. Hers 10.1.5, Mine 10.2.4. We are hooked up to an ethernet router to share a cable internet connection. My question is this, can we also share files or possibly even peripherials with our mini network and if so, exactly how can I accomplish it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

it's easy

System Preference / Sharing

there you can share many things like files, printers, etc. select "Personal File Sharing" on both machines.

Finder / Go / Connect to Server...

browse to the other machine's name, click Connect, enter login info, select the volume, and you've got access.
