Sharing Memory to Macbook Pro GPU?

I have a Macbook Pro with 1.5gb of ram, and on my previous laptop it had "Hyper-memory" that would allow you to share additional memory to the GPU (Via the Bios). Is this possible on a Macbook Pro? I found on my previous computer that it did help the smoothness of the graphics display. If not in OS X, can it be done in Windows installed on the Macbook Pro?
