Hey, is there a way to share one photo library for two users on a Mac so both accounts can add photos to the same library? At the moment I send my wife all the photos I take with iMessages and she copies them to her photos app and she does the same with her photos and I copy them. Now messages is full with photos, our hard drive is full of duplicate photos, and sometimes we forget to send photos so we still end up not having the same photos.

We have a shared library set up for iTunes but I don't know if this would work the same way with the Photos app. In iTunes I moved the media library from my folder to the shared folder and set iTunes on both partitions to use that library. So now when my wife adds a song to her iTunes library I can see it in my iTunes and my iPhone and vice versa.

Anybody done something similar with the photos app?

Thanx

Ok thanks!

Did anybody try this out?

I share a photo library across 3 user accounts. Put the photo library on an external hard drive and select it with option-key while executing the photos app. Works very well.

Ok great news. Thank you. Now do you have Photo-Stream activated? If so, is everybodys stream saving photos so everybody can see them?
